The 19th China Yiwu International Commodities Fair Opens
The opening ceremony of 19th Yiwu International Commodities Fair was held in Yiwu International Exhibition Center in the morning of October 21, 2013. Mr. Shi Guangsheng, Former Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation, member of 10th NPC Standing Committee and Vice Chairman of NPC Finance and Economy Committee; Mr. Li Qiang, Governor of Zhejiang Province; Mr. Wang Yongchang, Deputy Director of Zhejiang NPC; Mr. Liang Liming, Vice Governor of Zhejiang Province; Mm.Wu Jing, Vice Chairman of the CPPCC Zhejiang Province and Chairman of the Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese; Mr. Zhang Zhigang, President of China Commercial Federation; Mr. Dong Songgen, Vice President of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and Mr. Wang Shicheng, Vice President and Secretary General of China Light Industry Association attended the opening ceremony.
The Fair is jointly held by Ministry of Commerce, Zhejiang Provincipa People’s Government, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, China Light Industry Association and China Commercial Federation. With coverage of 150 thousand square meters and 4500 stand booths, the fair accomodates 2429 exhibitors from 30 provinces and cities at home and 23 countries and regions overseas. Seven specialized industry halls including hardware, electronic apparatus, Jewelry and accessories, crafts, articles of everyday use, stationery and underwear and socks were set up. Meanwhile, special districts for e-commerce and trade service were also set.
Mr. Charles Madibo Wagidoso, Ugandan Ambassador to China; Mr. Murat Salim Esenli, Turkey’s ambassador to China; Mr. Kujtim Xhani, Albania’s ambassador to China; Azerbaijan Ambassador to China; Mr. Guillermo Chalup Liendo, Bolivia's ambassador to China; Mr. Pape Khalilou Fall, Senegal's ambassador to China; Mr. Carmenza Jaramillo, Colombian Ambassador to China; Mr. F. Marcelle Gairy, Grenada's ambassador to China, and officials from foreign governments and missions to China from 31 countries and regions, the community leaders, exhibitors and trade representatives also attended the opening ceremony.
Deputy Director-General of Foreign Trade Development Bureau Han Shengde also attended the opening ceremony and relative activities.
